September 2007 saw the release of DOTCOM MEDIA's custom content management system. The online software solution was created to answer client concerns of other open-source and proprietary content management system solutions that were either too complicated, not customizable, or posed a security risk for the client's website application.

Since its successful unofficial launch in 2007, DOTCOM MEDIA has continually added user-friendly features and functionality, and tested and implemented the solution on virtually every website it created. Over the past few months, DOTCOM MEDIA has been working towards packaging and presenting the solution to the world to better illustrate the product offering. The solution is now branded, the look and feel has been revamped, and the user-experience has been enhanced by incorporating emerging technologies like AJAX to give users a visually appealing, yet refreshingly easy CMS experience. DOTCOM MEDIA's custom content management system was officially re-launched on its 1st birthday in September 2008. It is simply known as .cms.
